IET collaborate with the Fashion District and the University of Arts London (UAL) to launch Manufacturing Futures Prize

The prize is open to start-ups and SMEs (Small and Medium-sized Enterprises) who are passionate about innovative tech solutions across fashion manufacturing. Entries are open until 29 March.

In January we launched the Manufacturing Futures Prize in collaboration with the Fashion District and the University of Arts London (UAL). We’re seeking innovative engineering solutions to solve the manufacturing challenges that the fashion industry face. In particular, we are focussing on sustainability; this could include solutions for waste reduction, using sustainable materials or improving supply chain efficiencies.

The Innovation Challenges are designed to find solutions to issues within the fashion industry by supporting new innovations and SMEs across design, manufacturing, and retail. 

The prize is open to early tech start-ups who are registered businesses working in any of the following industries:

  • Fashion
  • Manufacturing
  • Supply Chain
  • Agriculture
  • Science sectors
