IET India launches Open Digital Innovation Working Group under its Future Tech Panel

The aim is to champion collective digital engineering and technology innovation that positively benefits social, economic and environmental futures.

Shekhar Sanyal, Director and Country Head of IET India said: “This working group aspires to be a trusted advisor and partner in digital innovations for the Indian government, industry and academia.

The goal of this new working group is to increase the digital engineering and technology innovation quotient of organizations and nation.”

The new group's focus areas are engineering convergence, thinking convergence, technology convergence, autonomous software engineering, open digital innovation digital platform (CoInnovator), digital innovation thought leadership, templates, methods, frameworks, strategic alliances, digital engineering research projects and others.

The group has put in place a four-tiered operating model that includes think tanks, strategic leadership, tactical leadership and operational leadership.

"The four pillars of the Open Digital Innovation working group are digital engineering and technology innovations body of knowledge (DETIBOK), digital engineering and technology innovations skill development, crowdsourcing digital platform to unlock the digital innovation potential of rural and urban India and mentoring ecosystem for digital engineering and technology start-ups.”

The beneficiaries of this working group are the Indian government, industry, academia, start-ups, students and IET volunteers.
