E&T Innovation Awards

Now as much as ever our planet is in great need of pioneering initiatives and strategies to overcome societal, ecological and environmental challenges. Scientists and engineers are at the forefront of facing these issues head on, from researching and developing to innovating and inventing cutting-edge solutions to the world’s problems.

The E&T Innovation Awards has given global recognition to a diverse range of eminent innovators over the last 17 years across the breadth of science, engineering and technology, and many of the awards emphasise the acclaim of positive progress, such as ‘Best Application of Tech for Good’, ‘Best Innovation in Net Zero and Sustainability’ and the E&T’s highest accolade of ‘Difference Maker of the Year’.

The expert judges have now chosen this year’s fantastic line-up of finalists across our 16 categories, so we are excited to be reverting to a fully in-person glittering event at the illustrious Hilton London Bankside, comprising a drinks reception, three-course meal and a night of entertainment and celebration on 10 November 2022.

Our host, Mechanical Engineer and E&T Innovation Awards Advisory Board Member, Dr Shini Somara has said, “I’m honoured and delighted to be hosting the awards ceremony this year, which promises to be an inspiring celebration and recognition of technical excellence, ingenuity and creativity of those who make such a positive difference to all of our lives.”
