Powering up for Net Zero at ACDC 2023

ACDC 2023 will focus on technologies and projects which support the energy transition and creating the net-zero grid of the future. This includes sessions on plans to develop the power grid and HVDC resilience to the role of power electronics in the grid and new innovations, such as energy islands.

The international technical programme will cover the latest insights in transmission and distribution engineering and includes senior names from National Grid ESO, TenneT, SP Energy Networks, 50Hertz Transmission GmbH, Energinet, the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, WindGrid Elia Group, ORION Clean Energy Project, Energy Systems Integration Group and more.

Over 200 power transmission engineers have already confirmed their places, and there is still time for you to book your ticket on our website.

We asked the organising committee why ACDC 2023 is so important to help the power transmission industry to achieve Net Zero. To hear their responses, watch the video trailer on our YouTube channel.

Co-chair Dr Khaled Ahmed, Reader of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at the University of Strathclyde, is looking forward to having the conference take place in his home city.

He said: “We are really excited to have it in person. You really will find it very interesting, and with some surprises.”

As well as the talks, attendees will enjoy networking events including welcome drinks and a walking tour of Glasgow, training on PSCAD and an exhibition of leading suppliers.
