Egyptian Knowledge Bank

What's in these pages?

We are proud to be a strategic partner in the Egyptian Knowledge Bank initiative and further developments in the global engineering and technology research community. As part of our efforts to help all citizens of Egypt get the greatest amount of use from our products, we have pulled together all the resources and information you might need.

Here you will be able to find information about the products available to you and learn how to use them through our user guides which we have translated into Arabic for your convenience. If you’re considering publishing with us you’ll be able to find plenty of useful guides and resources to help make the process easier and there is also plenty of useful information for librarians to help you monitor and optimise usage at your institution.

Support for authors

We are committed to supporting the growing research community in Egypt and as such we are pleased to offer Open Access publication in IET Journals without an article-processing charge (APC). We also offer a range of support throughout the entire process, from advice to writing your article, through to publication and beyond.

Please visit our Information for Authors pages for more information.

Improved discoverability

As part of our mission to disseminate knowledge and understanding across engineering, we provide a range of tools that help our authors to share their work and make it easier to find online. For example:

We support the Kudos platform which helps authors raise awareness of their research, making it easy to share published research, and improve its discoverability. It is free for IET authors to use and once you sign up to Kudos you will be guided through the process of adding your research articles, related content and links to extra resources. Find out more at www.growkudos.com.

Our unique author URLs service gives you an exclusive link that gives free access to your IET journal articles for six months after publication (free and open access articles will always be available, of course). There are no restrictions on where you can use your link. For instance, you could share the URL on any social media platform including academic and research networks such as ResearchGate, Kudos, and Mendeley.

Support for Librarians

We have developed a range of useful resources to provide librarians with the tools to help administer their institutional accounts across all of our platforms. Check out the below links for more information:

If you would like to request any tailored support materials for your institution such as training videos and posters or have any questions at all on how to log in to your institutional account please contact: EKB@theiet.org
