COVID-19 risk assessment for the reopening of our head office

During the COVID-19 pandemic, many of the functions of our organisation have continued as our colleagues use technology to enable them to work from home.

Following the release of the UK Government’s guidance for people who run offices, which was issued on 11 May 2020, we have reviewed and updated procedures in place for how we can safely manage our head office so as to allow a degree of reopening while ensuring our colleagues stay as safe as possible.

You can read our full risk assessment for the re-opening of our Stevenage office here. The health, well-being and safety of our colleagues remain our priority and we will continue to monitor, and act where appropriate, to the latest government advice.

You can find out more about how the current pandemic has affected our London and Birmingham venues.

We’re upgrading our systems, and this includes changes to our customer and member account log in, MyIET. It’s part of our big picture plan to deliver a great experience for you and our wider engineering community.

Whilst most of our websites remain available for browsing, it will not be possible to log in to purchase products or access services from Thursday, 17 April to Wednesday, 30 April 2025. Our Member Relations team is here to help and for many of our services, including processing payments or orders, we’ll be able to support you over the phone on +44 (0)1438 765678 or email via membership@theiet.org.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding.
