We’re about to upgrade our systems, and this includes changes to our customer and member account log in, MyIET. It’s part of our big picture plan to deliver a great experience for you and our wider engineering community.
Whilst most of our websites remain available for browsing, it will not be possible to log in to purchase products or access services from Thursday, 17 April to Wednesday, 30 April 2025.
Our Member Relations team is here to help and for many of our services, including processing payments or orders, we’ll be able to support you over the phone on 01438 765678 or email via membership@theiet.org.

Who can I contact with queries about my Membership?
Our Member Relations team will be available during this time – it’s only the system that’s switched off, so we’re still here for you.
We will be unable to make amendments to your account during this period, however we can process some payments and will be available to answer queries you may have relating to your Membership.

Is MyIET login available?
Your MyIET record is connected to our customer portal and this will not be accessible during the change to the new system. This means you will not be able to access your MyIET record or make any changes to your record during this time.

How do I register to attend an event?
Delegate bookings for IET events will still be available on our Events Booking system.
Members will still be able to receive their discounts by selecting the “Member” price option and manually entering their membership number into the system.
While it will not be possible to process product orders from Thursday, 17 April to Wednesday, 30 April our Customer Services team will be available to answer enquiries.

Can I still buy publications via the IET Web shop?
The IET Webshop will not be available from 2pm GMT Thursday, 17 April to Wednesday, 30 April 2025.
Any orders placed between 14 - 17 April 2pm GMT may experience a shipping delay.

Can I access my Digital Wiring products that I previously purchased?
Yes, this will still be available to you.
How can I order products such as EV Filling Stations, Temporary Electrical Systems, Guide to IoT, Electricians’ Guide to Energy Storage and Digital Wiring Regulations?
While it will not be possible to process product orders online from Thursday, 17 April to Wednesday, 30 April 2025, our Member and Customer Support team will be available to answer enquiries.

Can I still engage in discussions on IET EngX®?
Our community platform, EngX, will be available for browsing content although it will not be possible to log in to participate in discussions, access resources in the volunteer area, join the community or create or update a profile from Thursday, 17 April to Wednesday, 30 April 2025.
Will the IET Digital Library be available?
You can browse the IET Digital Library, although it will not be possible to purchase content or subscribe to products such as Journal Archive from Thursday, 17 April to Wednesday, 30 April 2025.

Will Inspec and Inspec Analytics be available?
If you access Inspec or Inspec Analytics through one of our vendor platforms (Engineering Village, Web of Science, EBSCOhost, ProQuest or Ovid) your access will not be affected.

If you subscribe to Inspec Direct, the platform will be available for browsing and searching content although it will not be possible to log in to perform specific actions such as saving searches or setting up alerts from Thursday, 17 April to Wednesday, 30 April 2025.
Will IET.tv be available?
It will be possible to browse content on IET.tv although you will not be able to log into the platform from Thursday, 17 April to Wednesday, 30 April 2025.

Can I still book a meeting room at IET London: Savoy Place?
Members can still book meeting rooms for use during this period.
Please can we request that bookings are made before Monday, 15 April.

Can I book the complimentary meeting rooms at IET London: Savoy Place online (Ayrton and Hopper)?
Members can book The Ayrton and Hopper Rooms during Thursday, 17 April to Wednesday, 30 April 2025 by using one of the methods:
- Via our online chat platform: ‘chat to us live’ on the site
- Via email to faradaycentre@theiet.org
- By phone on +44 (0)20 7344 8460.
Can I still use the Faraday Centre in IET London: Savoy Place?
The Faraday Centre will still be open to Members.
However, as the online booking system will not be available, please can we ask you to bring your Membership Card with you when visiting the centre to help us verify your identity.
Can I access the library’s print and electronic resources and use the Knowledge Centre?
Members can still browse the library’s online catalogue and EBSCO electronic resources but will not be able to log in to manage library loans or access full text directly from Thursday, 17 April to Wednesday, 30 April 2025.
Please contact the library team at libdesk@theiet.org to renew your books or to request print or electronic resources such as EBSCO eBooks and journals, and content from our British Standards Online and IEEE Xplore subscriptions.
The Knowledge Centre within the Faraday Centre at IET London: Savoy Place will remain open for members to visit and use library resources onsite.
Can I use Career Manager?
Career Manager will not be available from Thursday, 17 April to Wednesday, 30 April 2025.
During this time you will be unable to log on to Career Manager to use any of its features or access, update or submit your Professional Registration or Fellowship application.
If you'd like to apply for Professional Registration or Fellowship, from 1 to 30 April 2025, please do call our Registration and Standards team on 01438 211476 or email via profreginfo@theiet.org.
How can I log my CPD activities?
Career Manager will not be available from Thursday, 17 April to Wednesday, 30 April 2025 so you will not be able to update your record or track your CPD progress during this time.
We advise members to keep notes of CPD activity and upload it to Career Manager once the site is live.
If you have a CPD Quick Code you will not be able to use it between 17 and 30 April whilst Career Manager is unavailable, but you can keep a record of this for when the website is live.
If you have been included in the current CPD audit and would like to submit your CPD declaration, please contact cpd@theiet.org and our team will be able to help you with your query.
Can I book onto a Professional Development Course?
You should still be able to book online during this time.

Can I access free Professional Development webinars?
From Thursday, 17 April to Wednesday, 30 April 2025 our free webinars will not be available.
Please watch in advance or come back to the login when it becomes available again on Friday, 1 May.
Who can I contact about my Professional Registration application?
If you wish to enquire about an existing Professional Registration application, please contact +44 (0)1438 767333 or profreg@theiet.org.
If you wish to start a new application but haven’t started yet, register for our one-to-one registration support (One-to-one Professional Registration support, so you are ready to start your application in Career Manager when it becomes available again on Friday, 1 May.
How can I claim my expenses?
For any queries about volunteer expenses or other concerns related to your volunteering role, your staff contact will be on hand to provide guidance and advice.
Can I submit my Accreditation paperwork on ADAMS?
You will not be able to access ADAMS during this time.
Please contact the Academic Accreditation team on accreditation@theiet.org if you need urgent assistance.
Can I still apply or nominate for an award, scholarship or prize?
The award application system will be unaffected and you can submit your application or nomination as normal.

Can I still access and download digital teaching resources?
Our digital teaching resources can still be accessed and downloaded during this time.
Please visit IET Education - STEM activities and resources for primary and secondary schools (theiet.org).
Can I still order marketing materials from Coreprint?
You can still order marketing materials through our Coreprint system, however there may be a delay in dispatch during this time, so please do order in advance.
