Assessment of safety related compliance claims (SRCC)

The document is intended to provide general guidance on evaluating the quality of the claim presented in a documented Safety-Related Compliance Claim (SRCC) made by others.

It is intended to be used by Independent Safety Assessors (ISAs), and by customers, purchasers, or Users of safety-related systems who are acting in a safety assessment role, whose judgements about safety are supported by SRCCs. The guidance is intended to address the process of scrutinizing the claim as presented in the SRCC, rather than scrutiny of the evidence underpinning the claim.
