Leading with intelligence, AI’s role in digital futures and sustainability
The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET)’s 2024 global webinar series offered a valuable platform for the international engineering and technology community to discuss advancements in artificial intelligence and its broad implications for humanity. Held from May to July 2024, the series encompassed nine webinars and engaged participants from 18 different countries.
Under the guidance of Dr. Gopichand Katragadda, the IET's immediate past President (2023-24), the series emphasized the development of real-time, context-sensitive AI solutions, which empower industries to make intelligent, rapid decisions directly at the point of action. Additionally, these sessions highlighted the ethical, responsible, and impactful application of AI across a variety of fields, aligning with the ongoing discourse around responsible AI implementation.
