Knowledge Services and Solutions Board (KSSB)
Purpose
The purpose of the Knowledge Services and Solutions Board is:
- to be responsible to the Board of Trustees for the planning and implementation of the IET’s Knowledge Services and Solutions strategy
- to provide assurance to the Board of Trustees concerning the effective delivery of strategic programmes as delegated by the Board of Trustees
- to monitor the performance of strategic programmes as delegated by the Board of Trustees.
Term
Three years (may be mutually extended to retain specific expertise, although Appointed members cannot exceed a six-year term).

Three meetings per year, and adhoc virtual work in between meetings.

Wiring Regulations Policy Committee
Purpose
- To advise the IET on technical and policy issues relating to BS 7671 (fixed electrical installations) and BS 8450 (installations of ships and offshore and on related matters).
- To provide advice on policy issues when the IET is consulted on Government proposals relating to these issues.
- To develop IET policy for matters relating to the electrical installation sector.
Term
Three years.
